SDX SCSI boot-up

Hello, I am having difficulty booting up my SDX from the internal SCSI
drive. I tried re-formatting the drive and copying the system onto it first.
No luck. There is some trick to this that is not documented in the manual.
Any advice or help would be appreciated, thanks!
