refurbish project

2012-10-26 by cheolwha

Hello All,

I've recently got a couple of white Simmons bass pads for a music project I am working on.

The shell has a lot of scratches and dings. I was wondering what is the best way to refurbish or repaint the shell?

Thank you for any guidance you can offer.

In the great Wolfgang´site you can find some answers. The shells will not be quite as new but will improve its appearance.
Good luck!

The shells are painted on the inside. I had a set of clear shells I purchased back in the day and had a local artist paint them for me. The shinny part is really the clear plastic. Not sure how you would remove that paint without destroying the plastic.

there is a product called "Fairy power spray", apply that to the shell 3 times (all night the first time and 2 hours the other 2) and the paint will go 100% without destroying the shell.
cheers
