Alternative Radio

Funny story for the group;

Remember my SDS-7 marked "Alternative Radio" on the bottom?

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Simmons_Drums/message/2811

I asked if anyone knew of a band etc. Noone did. Today I received a huge
file with images from a guy wanting me to buy his record collection for
my shop. I started clicking through the images and guess what?! There
they were... alternative radio. Even the same logo as drawn on the SDS-7.

Mystery solved and I can sleep good tonight! :D

Remove the programmer panel and behind that you´ll find the memory card wich
holds the battery.

Carefully pull it out, watch the yellow clip on the backplane so it doesn´t
slide out of the connector, and you can remove the battery.

Mind you that all your settings will get erased when you exchange the
battery. Write down all programs you need or better, save to a RAM-card if
you have one of those.

[Simmons Drums] Re: battery check

2012-11-27 by Jon

Great "How-to.." Jesper! I have an SDS7 that is in dire need of a new battery and I'm intending to follow your method, using an AA holder and Lithium battery. I've read here about disabling the charging circuit if you use a non-rechargeable Lithium battery - any advice on how to do that?
Thanks
Jon

As I measured and interpreted the results it only recharges on one of
the positive soldering connectors. I only used the other (non-charging
one). Problem solved...

But yes, otherwise you're right. :D
