Are there any modern day pads (alesis, Roland etc) which would be compatable with MTM?

Hey Mark.
The beauty of the MTM is that it will accept anything that can generate a transient and turn it into a signal your Simmons modules will like. I'd guess that most modern pads will work with very little tinkering.

Take note, early MTM's (At least the US versions for sure) had the wrong resistor in them. The effective control of sensitivity occurs only in the first about 1/8th or less of a turn from full off. I had one of the very first US models as the US demonstrator and that's how mine was.
