Electronic toms in "Aneka - Japanese Boy"

Hello, for many years i wanted to know something about the electronic tom or whatelse in "Aneka - Japanese Boy".
Please tell me something. It´s a Simmons SDS ? Some synth of the era ?
I´ts no doubt the coolest sound you can get by hitting a drumpad.

The recording is from the first half of 1981. So it might a Syndrum or Musicaid Simmons SDS3/4. Likely no SDSV because at that time there were only a hand full of prototypes. As the lady comes from Scottland probably the Simmons/Musicaid. But you can't say for sure.

I'm spinning the 7" now with phones on and my guess is Pearl Syncussion.
To "mellow" for Pollard Syndrum and too "fuzzy" for MusicAid. But that's
just a guess, a lot can be done at mixing.

Cheesy classic btw - love it. :)

Are syndrums worth anything ?,i have one but was going to take it apart and make it into a copy sds 1 using a fiber glass shell and rubber surface.I planned on taking out the speaker and replace it with a piezo

should i?
