Eprom Emulation

Eprom Emulation

2012-01-06 by Ed

Hey all.
Just wanted to share my latest bit of tinkering - a Moates Ostrich eprom emulator plugged into my SDS7. Eventually, I'll get 6 of these shoe-horned in there and have all the eprom data flow straight from my computer. Sure beats pulling cards and eproms. :)

Hi Ed,

Wow, what a great find! Looks like a handy gadget indeed. How would it cope with multiple units do you think? If you had say six plugged into a hub?
I'd never of thought a car tuning site would be of any use in this way!

Thanks, Ben. Yes, you can run multiple Ostriches from one computer - that was one of the first questions I asked them. They have been incredibly cool about answering questions and said they'd help set up software to make sure each copy of Em Utility was able to look to a specific USB port.
It'll also work in your SDS1 and SDS9 as well as your Accord, Civic, Integra,...
