MTM display retro-fit

2011-12-16 by Mark Frost

New thread as I suspect this may become popular.
So, I have puchased the replacement display, and am thinking, rather than butcher the original (in case this doesn't work) I shall constuct a new cable and plug. Hopefully I can find something solderable.
@ Lars Do I just take a positive feed from the motherboard or is there one on the existing socket?
Anyone else with any input?
If I get this done succssfully I shall leave a fuller description for anyone else interested.
