Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi Everyone. My SPM is acting up. It boots and then the leds shut off. However it is still routing audio, however without the filters and settings. I'm going to take it to my tech. Question, What am I looking at as a cause. Power supply, Bad Chip (s) and is it possible to fix and affordable.

I really love this unit (my third one at bat) and it's LFO and EQ filters.

I keep my fingers crossed for a wonky PSU. Much easier to fix than
finding a tired chip etc.

fist of all check battery for leakage its due for a new one,clean up after with rubbing alcohal
