SDS7 eproms

SDS7 eproms

What sounds was the SDS7 initially shipped with ?

My SDS7 has software version 9 installed. If anyone needs it, I have copied
it in my eprom-programmer and can send you a bin-file.

The initial sounds were: bass (8k), tight snare (8k), bright tom (16k), hihat (32k), crash cymbal(32k).

Cool, thanks !

Looks like I have some alternate sounds in mine then.

Do you have BIN-files of those sounds ?

The basic was bass, snare and three toms, wasn't it?

Mine (8 cards) has a couple of custom proms from the Ultravox 90's
period with all toms replaced with octabans. Those were the days! :D

I would love to hear the octaban eprom. Could you upload an audio clip?

help

2011-09-27 by richard

I thought I sent a message to Simmons group . well lets try again. I sent you all what my brain looks like in an earlier E Mail. # 002828 . 7 channels, 7th has a plate . High hat input Bass.snare.tom,tom,tom,cymbal Does anyone know of somewhere in the U S that has the capability to completely Re Do my brain. Clean it,repair any missing or broken items in or on it ? Or do I have to send it to Simmons in England? When it is repaired I will sell it at a very reasonable price. I am 61 and it has been in my closet for yearrrrrs. I play bass and have no need for it. I want another musician to have it.it also has 7 1/4 jack holes for synth in . Let me know as soon as possible

Refixing

2011-09-27 by richard

Basically the snare output has trouble getting the snare sound and sometimes the tom go back and forth with its sounds and the buttons that transfer you to different sounds on the channels don't always work. I am also missing a couple of knobs and the little square rubber pads.

Re: [Simmons Drums] Refixing

2011-09-27 by WT

By rubber pads you mean those on the bottom to prevent it from slipping or
scratching ?

The buttons to select preset/user settings are probably dirty and need
cleaning but it could also be a problem with some of the circuits
controlling soundselection.

The snareproblem could be anything really.....

I have plans to do a few sound files since I have plenty of gear people
want to hear now. I'll try to remember this one too. :)

I _think_ that it's custom. But all four tom-proms are replaced with
what I think is the same octaban sample.
