SDS-V trigger problem

SDS-V trigger problem

2011-02-16 by Jenna

Hello list,I just got this SDSV that seems to have Ch1 and Ch4 mixed up somehow. Any trigger that goes into channel 1 also triggers the fourth module and vice versa.Does anyone have a theory on what might have happened to it during shipping?
I have already tried disconnecting all the modules and putting them back, also tried switching places etc but the problem remains.Nothing obvious that I could discover when I opened up the back and examined the inputs either...:(
Thanks / Jenna

Check backplane circuitboard for any short between triggerlines ( with all
modules removed ).

ALso, check if the small plastic positioners are in the correct place in the
connectors.

Thanks, Ill get them out again *moan, sigh* and check. I just put a blank in slot no4 to avoid the problem in the meantime.
btw, why does it take like 12 hours before my messages show up on the list? Am I being punished for using a hotmail account? It feels like I am having a conversation from outer space (using paper cups and a wire).
