Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Some video has been uploaded to Youtube of my SDS9 pads in use with my SDS8 module. I'm not the drummer, I just own the gear - I'm the bald guy with the Roland MIDI bass guitar or hitting the Octopad...here's the link:

"Delos" is from a Sydney gig a couple of years back with Swedish act Covenant. "1985" is from the Melbourne leg of our interstate run opening for The Human League last year.

Live we run the kick out of the SDS8 module, the other pads are triggering samples as we change sounds on those for different songs. Our drummer (Stephen Birt) uses an acoustic snare.

Played two sets of mostly originals for a private function last night, Simmons kit drew many, many favourable comments.

Simmons and "bald" in the same sentence, sounds like most of us I guess.  ;)

Good connection there... Tycho Brahe resided at Hven, an island, just 
off the coast of Helsingborg, the home of Covenant. BTW, "The Tivoli"? 
The rock club in already mentioned Helsingborg is called just that. Not 
that tivoli I guess? :-o

Hard to miss that snare in the recordings. ;)

But we want more Simmons sounds on the recordings, tell your drummer that!

Also, I prefer the more wavey stuff, "Delos" was a bit too 
futurepopish/dubish for me.
