but the 5, 7, 3, 1, 8 all
have their own nuances and w/o MIDI I guess I have to play them all
on their own. More thoughts??

sounds like a large studio is needed for you !!! :-)

Hey all,

Thanks for all your thoughtful responses. Like some of you said, yes
I could sample, but to me I'd lose a little bit of response, analog
sound and also immediate playability. Yes I could get a MTM, I've had
one and another is on the way. The Kenton kits as one suggested is a
good way too, albeit more cost involved. I was just hoping that
something else could be done without mod-ding the V. I realise 15V is
a bit much to try and get from a regular piezo pad. I didn't want to
have to keep this new MTM if I didn't have to. Seemed simple to me,
but not so much. SDX is a beast definitely, but the 5, 7, 3, 1, 8 all
have their own nuances and w/o MIDI I guess I have to play them all
on their own. More thoughts??

Graham

Just as clarification, I only have the X, 5, 7, & now 9 - Just trying
to make a point:) Studio space would be great though!!
