SIMMONS SDS 3 FOR SALE AS OF THE 07/05/09

2009-05-06 by bubbleman77

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know i will be posting my SDS3 on ebay on the 07/05/09 on a ten day auction. It's just the brain with no pads but i know how rare and wonderful these machines are and how little, if ever they come up for sale. It's one with the Musicaid logo on the back. I will be setting a reasonable reserve on it to encourage bidding. All the information you will need will be listed with the auction.

If your interested check it out and spread the word. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own this piece of analogue history, the best sounding drum machine EVER.

Cheers
Ryan

I keep my eyes on it just out of interest! :)

Good luck...
...and yes, wonderful machine, even without the pads.

But, afaik, all SDS-3's have the MusicAid logo. Which serial is it?
ALways interesting to know if it's a close sibling of my unit.

Thats interesting, i was speaking to the guy who owns Koby electronic drums in Liverpool, he's a electronic nut, and seemed to think some didn't have the musicaid logo on but good to know. There is no serial number on the outside of the unit....unless it's etched in solder on the board inside, i know Dave Simmons etched "Simmons Drum Synth" on the board but i didn't look for a serial when i was cleaning it. where is your serial number printed out of curiosity??

Both the 3 and the 4 have small stickers, either on front or back of the
unit (on the metal chassis, not the wood). Same goes for the original
ClapTrap... If I recall correct all have four digits, but the first is
always a "0" since they never sold that many. :D
