SDSV knob caps

SDSV knob caps

2008-11-24 by Matt

I think my OCD is worsening...does anyone know a source for the little
caps that cover the end of the knobs on the SDSV as I'm missing 8 of
them? Matt

PS this group is really useful...I couldn't get any sound from my SDSV
& by looking through the archive, found that I had to re-solder all my
XLR to jack leads in order that they work with the SDSV. Thanks!

Didn't you say you read the archive?

Yes, you did... :D

I have fixed caps for fellow SDS-V users before. My local electronics
shop has a perfect match. They're not super cheap, but on the other
hand, if a few makes the SDS-V looks nice it's worth it. Price? As I
recall they're about 50 p each.

They even have red, black, green etc if you want to change the looks. I
got a mixed set of colours that had fallen off my Psionics gates.
Apparently a popular type of knobs/caps in the UK since Psionics are UK
based too and also uses lin 3 in the XLR for "hot".

I've just ordered a bag of 100 grey Elma caps for SDSV knobs from
Foremost Electronics in the UK, so will shortly have a few(!) to spare
if anyone needs any. I'm happy to pass these on at minimal cost. Matt

Great that you found them - no need for me to go to bejoken. :D

SDSV knob caps

2008-12-04 by Matt

I now have a supply of grey knob caps with markers identical to those
used originally on the SDSV. If you're missing any and need
replacements I will pass them along at cost (GBP 0.20 per cap) plus
postage. Matt
