Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi All,

A mate has put some photos up from a show we did in Sydney 
recently...I'm the guy with the Roland bass guitar, but it's my red 
SDS9 kit being used by our drummer Steve. For live shows we use a 
combination of samples triggered from the pads plus an SDS8 module, 
acoustic snare, hats, crashes. That's also an old Roland Octopad 
hanging off the left cymbal arm which I use for percussion whilst Steve 
does his job.

Hey there Ken,

Mate, I just gotta check you guys out!  I've heard your stuff on 
Myspace and it's fuckin' awesome!

Nice job getting the SDS9 pads looking good too, well done, mine are 
still intact although I had a stage guy crack the kick pad a few 
months ago, could have killed him......in fact I still might!

You've probably already seen the pics but if not take a look at 
www.80senuff.com , you'll see my red SDS9 kit and some yellow SDS7 
pads.  

I'll be checking out your gig guide for when I'm up your way but 
make sure you tell me if you're coming to Melbourne!

You should lend Eskil and Joakim the drums. They could use more 80's 
percussion sounds. :D
