sds-3 bend issues

sds-3 bend issues

2008-09-08 by jesper

I've finally started digging in my semi-working SDS-3 and this Q arose;

Is the text on the panel inverted or is it just my unit that bends up
when the switch is in the "down" position and vice versa?

Status of SDS-3 no 98 this far - two channels working (assuming the
above to be normal), one working when the unit is warm (I'm on to the
trouble I think) and one triggers but is dead (assuming a dead 3086
since it hums like crazy when touched).

no, mine bends the wrong way as well (fnarr fnarr)

i find some of the other switches seem to be reversed as well.

Yes, I noticed that when I kept digging in the little darling.

*sudden burst of noise and oscillator - "pioooouuuuwsczzzzh"*

Channel three back in service! One 3086 (IC4) had died...
