Make sense the way you describe it.
I hope to come back to this project soon. What concerns me most are if I should interfere with the vintage design.
With a new CPU running things a complete new face plate could take the user experience to a whole new level.
But cost and the simple fact I ruin the value of the unit I’m pondering with the idea to leave the panel as is and rather make an external midi and CV control unit.
For prototyping without the need for soldering inside the SDS7 I’ve started looking for some old 386/486 computers in hope I can cut of the pcb edge mail connector on one of the inserted cards.
