Hello!

I just got my MTX9 but without manual. I tried almost everything to get any
sound out of it via MIDI but without success.

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the unit to be usable?

I read an article in the archives of someone who got copies of the
schematics. I\ufffdm interested too since my unit looks like as there has been a
battery leakage problem (I found one of the wires directly underneath the
SRAM chip looking corrosive)

Give me a bit of time to scan the manual (no schematics though -
sorry) and I'll post them here. If they're not on here in a week
then email me - I've got a terrible memory ! I'm in a good mood -
just got a manual for my SDS2000 - Thanks a lot Dave !

This will be great since It still does not work with MIDI!

Do I need a Yahoo-ID for accessing such uploads?

Ok, I will do.

Maybe you can give me a hint how to adjust the MIDI channel if this is
possible?

Tnx a lot!

OK. Good news, I've scanned in the MTX9 manual. Bad news, it's
almost 8Meg PDF, there's not enough room on the archive to store it.

Any ideas ?

Can it be broken down into pages? Then Upload the pages as separate files into the group's Files folder, from where members can then download the pages onto their own computers and print hard-copies... when Uploading the pages, just make an announcement to the group as you would "new file has been uploaded to group"...
Provided, of course, you have enough space to upload one page at a time.

That's part of the problem. Each page is about 250K - fine if you
only want 6 pages or so that will fit into the meg-and-a-half that's
left in the "files" area. Unless there's anything there that's not
needed (not my decision - needs to be the originator) or another
group with more space left.

Failing that, happy to email on, as long as your mail server will
take it...and you're not on dial-up !

Phil.

Oh, man, I didn't realize that; and my ###Kilobytes math is HORRIBLE.
You're right about the dialup thing, as mostly members who have Cable or DSL would benefit more from the speedy downloads. And I'll bet just breaking the manual up into pages would be a very tedious job too.
Well, I have dialup; so I guess I'm SOL on that one.
Thanks for the info...

Only other solution is for me to print them off and pop in the post
(from the UK) which I'll do "at cost" - I'm not in this to make a
profit !

LMK off-list if anyone's interested.

Marvelous and Darn.

I've been looking for this manual for ages, and only just found the
group today.

However, the link doesn't seem to work, it asks me to sign up to BT
Yahoo. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for your time.

I'm more than happy to put the file back there but was rather hoping
some more people would publish their Simmons docs on the web...

Phil,

Thanks for the file. Very much appreciated. Now I can learn how to
use it properly. (It's a lot easier for me to get to yahoogroups,
than at my e-mail account.)

Thanks again.
