As far as I know there is no midi out on the SDS800 at all. What you see is a DIN plug with 8 pins and that must be the sequencer input as in SDS8 and has nothing to do with midi. So it is not possible to trigger a Handsonic by an SDS800. If you want to trigger the handsonic by your (nice and wonderful...) SDS9 pads, the cheapest way is to purchase a second hand Alesis D4 via Ebay.

On the internet there are several scemattics for converting analogue inputs
to midi (cv/gate-midi converter)
that should do the trick??

To stay on-topic I can recommend the Simmons TMI. Often sold cheap and works
perfectly to get 8 trig inputs into midi messages. I've even tested to play
my ancient 70's beatbox drum synth from the Simmons set - cheesy indeed!

pads -> TMI -> midiconverter -> drumsynth...

electronically yours, jesper
