Sample-CD/DVD of Simmons Drums?

Sample-CD/DVD of Simmons Drums?

2007-05-31 by hauke11de

Hi everybody!

This might be some kind of blasphemical, but Iright now am watching the Thomas Dolby-
DVD of his last tour and do not see any Simmons-Gear on stage, but head some Simmons-
Sounds. So I thought: are there any Collections of Simmons-Sounds out there worth buying?

I am especially looking for sounds of the SDS5 as I don't have any MIDI for my own SDS5 and
have sold almost all my hardware (mixer, synths etc.) I only work on a Mac with Logic now.

So any hint or suggestion is highly appreciated... maybe even on the german market?

Thanks a lot in advance
Hauke

Hi Hauke,

I haven't seen or heard of a sample CD of Simmons sounds, I wish
there was one though!

I have some Simmons sounds which I sampled straight from my SDS8
(Toms and a snares) plus I have an SDSV Tom. If you like I can send
them to you as mp3s.

Let me know,

Matt.

hi Thomas,

Yeah...then we could carry on about how they didn't get it right ,the VA
doesn't sound *organic* as the original, the warmth was not there etc etc.
And how us original SDSV owners are the only real owners of the sound...so
the price for a real one would increase by 200 % ;-) !!!!!

Bring it on !!
