Hi All

I have just downloaded the Simmonscollection.zip containing samples. 
Fantastic!!! Many thanks for making them available.

I am trying to replicate my Simmons SDS7 as a VST instrument but I am 
not sure which soundset was burnt onto the original eproms. I suspect 
the basic eproms come from one of the earlier SDS units and would be 
greatful for any clues? Also, the SDS7 uses a 'click' sound as an 
oscillator as well as white noise & a basic synth. I have no idea how 
to get hold of the original 'click'. Does anyone have a copy as a .wav? 
(I would sample from my SDS7 but it is VERY sick... the cards have worn 
out the connectors on the main board to the point where I can't get a 
single voice to work. This is a great shame as it is also midi-
retrofitted at considereable expense!) I am sure I can replicate the 
other parts of the oscillator / synth and will make the VST available 
for free to this newsgroup if I manage to complete it!

Hi Andy, that sounds interesting. I have also already planned to
realize something like a "native " simmons VST plugin. At this state
it is only planned, that means that I downloaded the VST SDK from the
Steinberg developper area. Are you planning to develop ,ore or less a
sample player or are you going to implement the entire analog filters?

I just posted the Click sound - in the files area. Filter wide open.  Also "noise" !  Hope this

Can someone tell me where this file is?  I can't find it anywhere.  If 
it's been deleted, would someone be so kind as to reupload it or 
forward it to me?
