Re: [Simmons Drums] SDS9 Snare Wiring

Re: [Simmons Drums] SDS9 Snare Wiring

I beleive the center piezo has the center wired to the tip. The center of the rim pick-up to the ring and the two outer copper looking rings wire together to the gnd terminal (terminal nearest the entrance of the jack.) Hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me how the second piezo transducer in the SDS9 snare

(the one mounted on the plastic frame) is meant to be wired to the 1/4"

jack? The kit I'm restoring has no wiring attached to this transducer,

only to the main one on the floating plywood head. The shell was glued

in with silicone sealant, it's obviously been "repaired" at some

stage....

Simple wiring instructions for a retarded monkey with soldering skills

would be appreciated :-)

Thanks,

Ken.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. The wires from the rim piezo have been
completely removed. I suspect I may need to replace that piezo as
well - there must be a reason the previous owner removed the wiring.

Ken.
