Yes, me. I have the original Silicon mallet Product Manual 1978 here. I live
near Frankfurt, Germany. Coffee will be ready.

I guess it's sensitive to how hard you hit? Then it's harder to convert to 
midi I guess. Otherwise there's the doepfer ctm-64 which should be quite 
easy to implement...

The Silicon Mallet does have midi.
The sounds are FM synthesis ala Yamaha DX7. No samples but some very cool percussive and keyboard type sounds. I believe you can also program your own sounds by manipulating the parameters and store these in patches.
I think the first few patches are factory but you have 99 and most of them came be user defined.

Of course I do. There's nothing like it.  It's a real strange bird and I 
enjoy the novelty of owning it. I don't use it  much because it robs me of floor 
space and it's so time consuming to set up but  I had fun using it in a duo w/ 
a drummer. I plan to use it in an experimental  jazz duo w/ a saxophonist as 
soon as we can get our schedules  together.
