Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hello to all in the group. I am happy to have found out this group
exists today. I am the proud owner of an SDS5, 7 and 1000M. My
SDS7 is unhappy at the moment. It had been stored for years
and a few months back I changed the battery and it did work.
After a recent move I went to power it up and all I get is the LED's
lit on the control panel but no digits in the display. The Prog
lights are lit for all 5 boards and the Trig lights flash when
triggered. I am not sure what is going on. Am I in some strange
mode? Perhaps I have the front panel board and Memory board i
the wrong order? They are currently (Left to Right after the 12
Voice Cards ) Front panel board then Memory board then the
transformer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome!

I don't know about the Prog's, but at least the flashing Trig lights
are normal. I guess it's possible that your display isn't making
contact somewhere. Have you tried programming anything since changing
the battery? Mine just died, so maybe I'll have something more to add
after I change it.
