SDSV

Hi all, long time listener, first time caller.

Just a couple queries concerning my SDSV:

I have a repeating tom. I understand this is not uncommon? When I power on, the tom
module in question won't revert to the factory setting like the others and maintains a
steady constant repeating, the speed of which changes if I press the memory buttons on
both it and the adjacent tom module (which works though the buttons on that one seem
slightly misaligned/recessed). I've never opened it, but if it's a moderately easy fix I'd
rather take care of it myself. Actually, any general maintenance tips or things to watch out
for would be immensely appreciated.

I'd also like to get opinions on the overall roadworthiness of the unit. I'm going to start
doing shows with it, and I'm having a flight case made, but I need to get a consensus (and
horror stories!) from those who regularly tour with one. Also, any recommendations for
taking fragile gear overseas. I've had some things just destroyed by airlines (in ATA flight
cases, no less) so I'm reluctant to check it as baggage. Should I ship it overseas and just
drive to all the shows?

Thanks in advance!

I know this is a longshot, but does anyone on this list have an sdsv
kit they'd be willing to part with? I am willing to pay whatever it
takes but the condition is of prime importance, as well as a fully
functioning brain. Just taking a shot here, you never know when the
timing might be right. Thank you all.

"Whatever it takes"? I have a mortgage to get rid of! ;)
Sometimes asking the list generates success so don't give up, but I
think Ebay is a more likely source...
