You can use Your SDS 9 to trigger some sounds on your D4 and vice 
versa. First, set the same MIDI channel on both brains. Then adjust the 
corresponding note numbers between snare, toms, etc. I suggest adjusting them 
on the '9' as the Alesis box is probably closer to General MIDI and things 
may become more confusing if you add more modern gear and it doesn't work 
w/out making more adjustments.

like his reprinting. I think it looks cheap. But, If I were in your position 
I'd just go ahead and buy from him anyway.
