Well... you might be right, but I am not that enthusiastic to do that for a
Simmons. I would rather do that for a PPG 2.3 in excellent condition ;-) I
just wanted to let the group know.
I am very satisfied with my SDS5 and even think about selling my SDS7 (it
was just serviced, new battery, cleaned inside and outside etc... almost
like new). I simply don't use the SDS7 because it drives me crazy
programming it :-) So I might put that on ebay.de the other day.

I know someone with a couple of EVUs in tip-top conidition, with MIDI, for sale.

You need an SDS-6!

;) Good one!

Do that... I decided a year or so ago to stop looking for a SDS-7 'cause I
figured out button programming wasn't my thing (Chroma is my only
exception). On the other hand, I have both a SDS-V and the SDS-2 so that's a
seven if you do the math! :)

"I just wanted to let the group know." ;)

electronically yours, jesper - but a SDS-III would get my juices flowing any
time of the year!

Hi Paul!

Thank you so much for the info! Have you got any idea on the prices? I am
selling most of my hardware (99%) but always wanted a PPG System (I scanned
brouchers for the PPG-CD you produced etc. and had a chance to visit PPG
here in Hamburg back in 1986). So if the price sounds interesting I might
take a closer look to the EVU...

An SDS6 would be fine, but a friend built a Midi-to-trigger-Interface so I
programm sequences for the SDS5 in Logic. Even easier if you want to recall
a song ;-)

Bye
Hauke

[Simmons Drums] Re: SDX on ebay for pickup in Switzerland

2006-01-17 by Phil Murray

Ah...talking of which, it's time to power up my recent SDS-6
purchase for restoration, so the big question is, and it's a long
shot, anyone know the existence of a circuit diagram ???

thanks a lot everyone,

Phil.
(who has a 7-piece set of Hexaheads and maybe a couple of spares for
sale in a month or 2...!!!)

Hauke,

I can ask, if you're interested, probably best to reply off list though.

It's not much use without a 2.3 as you won't be able to edit the sounds.

hehe, like the one I did?

indeed, but it doesn't look as cool :-)

Paul,

you gave the idea for the trigger-box for the SDS5. I think there weren't
any available when I wanted one, so we built that ourselves and put it in a
rack below the SDS5... looks cool :-)

Sure, nothing can beat a SDS6 running and flashing red dots on the surface
:-)

Hello guys,
( what about your Midi to Trigger device (s) ?
Does it work like an MTM ?
with Less latency maybe ?

Patrice.
