If you locate one, please let me know 'cause I'd like one "just in case" if 
any of my two breaks down. I've exchanged two pots on mine, but that's about 
what I've done so I can only help with tricks regarding opening of the 
suckers etc...

A fair guess is a bad socket - sometimes bad contact have that effect - a 
good start to check them out at least!
