Hi Matt, I tried it out, there's no trick ;-)
the easiest way to check is:
After you have turned on the MTX9, press "PROGRAMM" twice. All bank
LEDs will light up. Now you are in Midi mode. The number displayed is
the receiving midi channel. Switch it to the desired midi channel or
change your signal source.
Press "PROGRAMM" again. The "MODE" LED will light up. The number
displayed is the midi mode. mode "8" is "note on" and likely the mode
you need. I connected my keyboard (in mode 8 sending on channel 1) to
the MTX9 and I could trigger its sounds without any problem. How to
assign a midi note to a sample is described on page 25 in the manual.
Bye
Wolfgang

Hi Matt, if you still have a version with the missing page 30: It
might be helpful to download the current version of the MTX9 manual
(updated a couple of months ago) instead of reading the 6 month old
buggy PDF document again and again?!
