Have you checked the potentiometers themselves? It CAN be that easy...
otherwise I bet it's the noise circuit. Haven't checked the schematics
recently but it should be fairly easy to find...

Especially since you have other modules to compare values with...

Thanks, I will try the potentiometers first. Do you know where I can
download the schematics?
