Hello Group,
My name is Jim, I am the proud owner of an SDS-8. I trigger this
fine brain from an old Oberheim Stretch DX. I am not a drummer, but
this piece of gear fits in perfectly with my drum machine/synth
collection.
The OBDX is the boss, the audio outs of individual drums I choose
trigger the Simmons. The rest of the chain runs from the MIDI out of
the OBDX to a Frostwave sequencer, Moogerfooger cp-251 and onto a
Realistic MG-1, a Moog Prodigy, an Octave Cat, and a Moog Satellite.
I'm looking to make my set up a little more portable by racking some
of the gear. Has anyone ever rack-mounted their sds-8? I'm thinking
a slide out type drawer would work perfectly, once sized up and
whatnot, but I wanted to see if any of you guys had any suggestions.
