the sds v were offered in plain and surburst two tone paint finishes as extras
i also recall from the original sale literature that they offered a bedspoke spad service and had the landscape (einstein a go go) kit on the back of it
back then of course it was the riot sheild surface and could be cut to suit and fibreglass shape for a drumbody
of course the hexagonal shape were often see a heretic to the caveman the drummers oftern are

for me the white kit was the beez kneez and thats what i have now recollected most of along with a red 5 piece and a few blue and blacks

thanks for the previous info on the simmons cymbals. were those the
same price as the pads?

what colors of simmons drums do people here have? what colors have
been released? i've seen some in a sunburst, but they may have been
custom painted. i've seen red, yellow, blue, black and white so far.
were all the models available in the same colors?

thanks again,

mike

Hi,

For me, I've always wanted a couple of red pads, the other colours were nice,
but the bright red *REALLY* smacked of the 80's :-)
I'm no drummer, but I would like to have them just to play around with.
