ABWH / Bill & EARTHWORKS

ABWH / Bill & EARTHWORKS

2005-02-02 by Patrice JACQUOT

About Bill's video on ABWH tour,

I know well this video as it took me many months & years finally to get this document in 99...

Bill had then 3 SDXs ! one each side of him & one under the stage .
Expensive set No ?
But certainly the nicest realisation with the SDX !
Look at this drum stage !

I know he has some releases of some EARTHWORKS gigs (where the SDX was triggering some chords & textural sounds ...) , I ask him sometimes when will it come out ...!?
But I'm afraid, he doesn't think about it because of the small amount of interested people...
But maybe ifwe are a few something could become possible, in a sort of limited collector for the Simmons group ...

In the 1st ABWH video , there is a fabulous studio session with Bill & Tony LEVIN...
I've heard from the Yes fans that there are some ABWH rehearsals that has been filmed too ...
I wish that Bill releases us his "SDX earthworks" one day including all that fabulous documents (where the SDX is sounding so GREAT )...
& maybe some KAZUMI WATANABE sessions are recorded somewhere ....
We would have a great sample of what can be done with an SDX ...

CU all !

It's another Symbal pad with textured surface. It's the light that
makes it look a bit different in that shot. If you click the "More
Photos" link, check the "back view" photo and you can see it better.
