Last year, I bought a single trigger Simmons SDS9 pad and modified it into 
a dual trigger pad. I don’t understand why only the rim sample will only 
sound when I strike the head normally and the snare sample will either 
rarely sound or will only sound when I strike the head softly. I don’t know 
if the head pickup is bad or if it’s some other problem. I used my meter 
and tested it with a cable attached before playing it and everything is 
connected right.
