I went to my local builder’s supply and found Organized Living freedomRail clothes rods. These measure 7/8” in diameter and feel very robust and durable. I thought of getting one that is 3 feet long and cut it down into two 14” units to be the same size as the genuine Simmons kick pad poles. I’ll be looking forward to that project soon.
