Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Files are your property.  There is no "copyright" on a specific sound
created for a sampler.  Remember the "gated snare" trial?  If you buy
a sample record, you have a limited license to use that sample for any
purpose, except resale.  If you lift the sound from a record, then you
need the consent of the person who controls form SR associated with
that song.  The idea that someone is making money off of stock sounds
and would ask you to remove them is offensive.  This person didn't
create the sounds and frankly, it's your business.  To be honest, it's
this person who is violating any law, as he is trying to make money
from someone elses IP.  You should tell him to take a hike.  And yes,
please, if you have any manuals that would help us to keep our boxes
alive, the upload would be much appreciated.  If you have a problem
with anyone else, I have a web address we can use for people who are a
bit more generous then our thieving friend.
