there is an adjustable screw inside on the PCB, not far close to the front house & the display ... that should adjust the contrast...
Not very good quality on mine ... it sould be possible to replace it for a good one...if needed...
If the display is too strong , (too much light ) then I know there is some resistor to add or modify the value...
But I don't know what value ^^

Hi group!
I´m looking for help to replace the original MTM display. I bought recently a new one in blue light and white characters.

I have scarce knowledge about electronics so I left the job in the hands of a friend, he repairs guitar amplifiers, but are not familiar with this type of equipment. The point is that he has installed the new display and although it is lit, the characters don´t appear. I sent him the photo that is in the Simmons group and he has followed these particulars. So I have no idea which may be failing. I just sent him a few minutes ago the MTM service manual, I suppose this can help him. If you've got any advice will be well received. Thanks in advance!
