Buuuuuut, some gear do have a socket and non-working midi so then you
have to test with some kind of midi device that do send midi.
(MTM midi thru, for example, is non-working.)
So, a simple keyboard which has a midi out socket can control the drums
of a SDS-1000 if that has a midi in.
