Backlight? I have two MTMs and neither screen  lights up. It's been 
difficult to read them and I always thought a backlight  would've been nice but not 
available or too expensive in 1985.

Plenty of options so I'll keep you posted.  Is there anything we can do 
with the display - backlighting? It's all working  but just, well, dim at best.
