Hi, I use a couple of these from Elby Designs and they work fine - dynamics and loudness - with all my Simmons, Pollard, ULT, Pearl, Frontline, Tama, Synare , JHS aso....though real XLR triggers from the original riot shield pads on the original SDS V (00002) seem to be slightly different as the trigger pulse itself comes through to the audio path and gives it a much harder click. Check the manual for the right voltage and trigger pulse length on the SDS(X).
