My roland SDE1000 has assignable note numbers on midi output which mate kickdrum to low "c" and hats, snare and toms chromatically up.....this will be fine for my needs...I think I'd rather mod the SDS V as its use would be very limited in the way I plan to use it......I am first and foremost a keyplayer.
