Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

I have a set of SDS 9's I bought new, years ago. I didn't use them for quite a long time, but when I
powered them up the bass drum sounds like it has a fast echo on it. I've tried everything I can think of,
echo on /off, changing sensitivity, nothing seems to work. Yet if I use buttom tap the bass drum sounds
ok. Anyone have any ideas?
