Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi All!  I'm in Troy NY, any Simmons Fans out here in Troy?  I've 
tried the company's website, but it's blank for now.  Anyway, y'all 
will hate me for this: I'd just bought a USED black Simmons kit, 
(just the four tompads and the kickpad, No "brain" [sound module]) at 
my local Daddy's Junky Music store in Albany, for $100- !!!  I just 
hhhhhaaaadd to have it!  I'll try to find the sound module somewhere 
down the road.  But I figured I could use the pads with some of the 
more current-tech modules out Today; or at least use the pads for a 
practice kit since I can't practice my acoustic kit in my apartment 
where I live.  I'm happy with my Simmons kit, aint gonna let these 
babies go!  Someday I hope to score a Ludwig Vistalite kit on a good 
deal.  But for now, this is SIMMONS! Soon as I get my kit home from 
the store, I'll set them up and take pics to upload to this group.
