Hi there Darren, It has varied a bit with shipping, the US is cheaper than the UK, the US don't do surface mail anymore which is strange but as an example I got 4 toms pads and 4 tom arms sent this week from NY, it ended up costing about AU$120 for shipping and thats for 5 working days. The most I've ever paid was US$210 and that was for a full SDS1000 kit including the brain, leads and stands. Hope that helps mate. As a quick introduction, like Matt I'm also based in Australia, living not too far from Melbourne. Always wanted a Simmons kit, so time to start doing instead of thinking about it. :-) > > Hey Matt, I just wondered if you found it expensive shipping your Simmons stuff out from the US/UK. I think I'll need to import too given how little Simmons stuff comes up in OZ. > > Regards > -- > Darren > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com on behalf of Matt > Sent: Wed 9/01/2008 11:23 PM > To: Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com > Subject: SV: Re: SV: [Simmons Drums] juicy sds-v w. hihat module on Ebay > > I'm in Melbourne Australia and I've bought about 60% of my Simmons > gear from the UK&US that was listed "Local Pickup or Local > shipping", you just have to ask and be willing to pay the extra $$ > and they're normally OK with it. > > I have about 11 kits now from SDSV-SDS9/1000, I must take a few pics > and get them up on the site. > > Cheers, > > Matt. > www.80senuff.com > > > > --- In Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com, KW <memtechlist@> wrote: > > > > yea, i use to ask these "could arrange for local pickup" ppl, and > often they agree to ship after all > > > > > > jesper <jesper@> skrev: > > KW skrev: > > > > > > > > > feckin lazey moreON who cannot send it by post, DAMN!! as usual! > > > > > > jesper <jesper@ > > > <mailto:jesper%40electronic-obsession.se>> skrev: > > > http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? > ViewItem&item=120207660111&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123 > > > <http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? > ViewItem&item=120207660111&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123> > > > > > > Quite nice colour, original pads and six cards in the box, > including the > > > Hihat module. 450 pounds might seem stiff, but it looks to be in > good > > > nick... > > > > Write a nice mail and explain your interest and he might change > his > > mind.
