  Will SDS7 or SDS8 pads work with my SDSV module or are they set up just as my current SDS9 pads are? Thanks again.

So the click sound of SDSV is much more precise, sharp like a needle. This I found out more than 20 years ago, when all drummers were crying because of the too hard pads. Simmons immediately offered flat rubber hexagons to be glued on top of the pads. But: that changed the sound! The impact was not like before. From that time on I played these pads only on the rims.
I don't have these pads anymore. But sometimes they are on eBay.
