Well, my SDS8 brain arrived in Australia from the US.... Good news is that my service tech was able to easily convert it from 110 volt to 240 (220) volt - involved simply rewiring the transformer in series instead of parallel. Simple. Only AUD$70 (about 40 Euro). All the lights and buttons work fine. Bad news is that the factory settings are obviously not working properly, the noise part of the tone control produces no noise (it generates the tone part fine), and on the stereo out it only produces sound from one channel (yes, using a proper stereo split Y cable). The mix out (mono) and seperate outs are very quiet but also very noisy, which I figure is the summed L/R out with one dud channel. Any suggestions or insights? I'm very depressed about this.... Ken.
