Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi,

If I take the data from EPROMs for anything 8-bit companded, such as
chips for LinnDrum, DMX, or DrumTraks, and format it to 8-bit linear
for Simmons EPROMs, will the size of memory change to a different
size, or will it still stay the same? For example, if I take a Linn
snare drum, which is 4 kilobytes long and convert it from 8-bit
companded to 8-bit linear, will it still be 4 kilobytes, or will it
become 8k, or how much?

I am trying to figure it out so as soon as I can get a hold of a
Simmons SDS7, I would like to play samples to be from the LinnDrum
library.
