Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi there,

Please forgive my ignorance but I recently became interested in 
Simmons drums and am looking for a little information on the SDS5. 
This seems to be the right place to ask. :)

1)Did the SDS5 originally ship with a stock number of sound modules? 
All of the photographs that I've come across show five modules (bass, 
snare, 3 tom)plus two expansion slots. Was this the factory 
configuration?

2)Is the SDS5 brain compatible with current trigger pads (Roland, 
Pintech) or will it only work with Simmons pads?

3)What would be a reasonable price to expect to pay for an SDS5 brain 
in good working condition? 

Any information would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
