The pads fit whichever basically. Sometimes you have to make different cables, but
they trigger whichever model. Trust me, I have SDS-8 pads (I think it is) and SDS-V
bass pads and it triggers everything I've got just fine.
So buy a model you think you'll like. Also describe the pads to us. Especially the
playing surface and rim and which type of connector they use and we can tell you
what it is I think...

Sometimes you find them for sale on ebay often referred to as "spurs" - good luck!
Or get a stand/rack which supports the bass drum from the sides instead.
