I recently bought an Ultimate Percussion K2-X including two pads. It's a bit temperamental (bad soldering somewhere?) but a friend is having a look at it. I was amazed how simple the inside was and it reminded me a lot of my SDS-IV when it came to number of IC's and controls but also the sounds it was able to produce. 8 channels and totally analogue from 1984... I'm not going to complain! ;) electronically yours, jesper - -- --- ---- ----- ---- --- -- - www.electronic-obsession.se Order your own copy of the Machinepop/Imiafan split-EP at www.electronic-obsession.se/label.asp "Folk med riktiga skivsamlingar har riktiga spelare" (Daniel Araya) ----- Original Message ----- From: "superwolle70" <superwolle70@...> To: <Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2006 12:00 PM Subject: Re: [Simmons Drums] Dave Simmons' message about the SDk5 !!! > Probably the forms to press the SDSV pad shells probably still exist > somewhere?
